Lunar Eclipse Picture

I have been shivering out in the cold Michigan air for about an hour tonight to watch and photograph (see picture to the left) the same celestial phenomenon that hoodwinked the Jamaican natives. When Christopher Columbus was stranded on the island about 504 years ago (Feb 29, 1504), he used the lunar eclipse to convince the native chiefs that the Almighty had been displeased by the way the natives had treated Columbus and his crew. Frightened by the eclipse, the chiefs acquiesced and aided the crew and captain. So, as you enjoy this phenomenon, think about the man who "found" our continent and hoodwinked its people.
